Delete your account

The fast way: in the app

Open Finiqians and go to Settings → Privacy & data → Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm with your password, or by signing in again with Google or Apple if that is how you joined. It happens immediately, and no email to us is needed.

If you no longer have the app

Email hi@finiqians.com from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". Tell us your username if you remember it. We will confirm your identity, delete everything, and write back to say it is done — within 30 days, and usually within a few days.

What gets deleted

Your profile, email address and password, your photo and any pictures you sent in chat, your scores, streaks, badges and full game history, your friendships, your messages, your blocks and reports, your notification records, your registered devices, and your analytics events. The account row itself is removed — this is a real delete, not a deactivation, and nothing is kept in a "deleted users" table.

What does not get deleted, and why

Encrypted backups roll off on their own within about a month, so a copy may briefly survive there — it cannot be searched or restored selectively, and it expires by itself.

Questions you wrote and we approved stay in the game, but they stop being linked to you. Aggregate counts that never named you — how many rounds were played on a given day — are unaffected, because they were never personal data in the first place.

Take your data with you first

Deletion cannot be undone, so if you want a copy, get it before you delete: Settings → Privacy & data → Download my data hands you everything we hold as one file.
